About Us

Our team has built a growing network of skilful educators and passionate families to do what we do best:

Empower learners.

At Ck2 Inc., we uniquely program learners of all ages at their current level of development, providing an environment where students can strengthen their cognitive function and explore exciting learning modalities to ensure a fulfilling future. We break free from foundational assumptions about how people learn to help our students reach a new potential.

Ultimately, we recognize the value of inclusivity.

To us, this means coming together, addressing strengths and weaknesses, and formulating a plan to help learners reach their personal best.

Since laying a foundation in the Manitoba homeschooling community in 2012, we have experienced exponential growth.

In 2019, we expanded our services and became an authorized site for the Arrowsmith Program, a cognitive enhancement program where we help learners of all ages target areas of inefficiency to reach their potential.

We work with parents looking to enhance their child’s ability to read, university students looking to increase their working memory, entrepreneurs trying to optimize their capacity for relational reasoning, retirees wanting to sharpen their memory and individuals recovering from brain injury or stroke through programs dedicated to strengthening learning capacities.

The events over the past years have put many people in vulnerable positions as they navigate changing circumstances.

During this time, we have been able to help families make educational connections and decisions based on the transforming educational landscape.

Our impact in the community, now more than ever, is helping students stay on course with their educational journeys by providing an alternative model to enhance their cognitive development. In our experience, learning difficulties do not have to be permanent.

Our efforts have always focused on complementing and preparing students to return to traditional learning modalities. Our learning environment is not static. Rather, we look to dynamically position our methods to educate our learners based on their individual needs.

“I sat with an educational psychologist last week who, though well-meaning, basically told me to prepare myself that [my daughter] won’t ever keep up, will probably not go to post secondary school or at least not on the normal timeline, learning will always be hard, she will likely suffer from anxiety as she gets older, her self-esteem will be an issue and the list goes on… but the reason I didn’t crawl into a ball and cry my eyes out was because we found hope–Ck2 Inc.!

My wish is that every family who has smart, wonderful kids who just don’t learn the same as everyone else could find this, too!

We want to create awareness within and beyond standard approaches to learning, breaking the thought that cognitive inefficiencies have to be permanent.

We are a catalyst for bringing people together, and this idea of community resonates with our core values–creating an environment where all learners have a spot at our table and an opportunity to strengthen their capabilities.

Our Executive Director Karen Friesen’s son stands as an example: at a young age, he received a dire diagnosis that indicated his future would be severely limited due to learning difficulties.

Having attended the Arrowsmith Program since 2013, the prospects for his future have greatly expanded. This gifted football star has now competed for our national team and received a full athletic scholarship to the University of Manitoba.

His dedication to rewiring his brain through targeted cognitive exercises within the Arrowsmith Program has opened up opportunities for him to achieve goals that were never dreamed possible.

Ck2 Inc. is a place where hope lives.
